1st setup: Maycom

The rubber duck antenna was limiting the reception. The base station was loud and clear but the aircrafts where often unreadable.

2nd setup: Better Antenna

I replaced the duck antenna by a larger Dipole. It made my wife very happy indeed, you can imagine that!
The antenna is just great! Now the signal is so strong that the selectivity of the receiver is the problem :-(
The scanner picks signal of any aircraft flying over Teuge, Deventer and Apeldoorn up to flight level 350 on any frequency
This way all airliners from and to Schiphol brake in on the Teuge recording unfortunately. Even worse, they are barely understandable.

3th setup: High frequency shield

At January 3 I created a radio frequency shield. This hi tech device is shown on the picture below made the hi frequency input
form other frequencies completely dissapear. Yes, it is Alu foil as often used in the kitchen...
Very trendy.. bling bling..

4th setup: Better Scanner

I replaced the scanner by a better one. (Uniden 92 XLT)
The sound is much better than it was back in 2005.
